A section of the Abakaliki Main Market in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State has been razed by fire. This is coming barely one month after another section was burnt. The fire was reported to have started in the early hours of today. Men of the Fire Service of the state who showed up at the the scene were reported to have complained about lack of water, only to show up later when the inferno had sent the entire building crumbling.
The affected building was mainly used as a packing store for electronic products, with shops in the front. Reports have it that no property was saved from the house.

As at 8PM when BibiTales visited the scene, men of the State's Fire Service were still at the scene trying to put out the Fire which had not stop burning. It was observed that the house next to the burnt building served as a residence for some families.
There has been several other incidents of fire outbreaks, reported and unreported. Protect yourself and your property from fire, get a fire extinguisher as soon as you can, switch off all electrical appliances before leaving your shop daily. We have a duty to save lives.

This fire outbreak is becoming like an everyday occurrence. Only God will save us in this 2016.
ReplyDeleteAm sorry to say that the office of the Fire Service is very stupid and they don't know there work,because they are supposed to have water all the time because,fire outbreak like this is a sudden incident
